Yes...I'm a paci-pusher.

I'm a big fan of pacifiers! Yes...there are medical advantages and I'm all for that...but more importantly it helps babies to sooth themselves and gives you something to plug the crying with. :) Yes...it was slightly difficult to take Eli's paci away, but those few troublesome bedtimes were worth the 16 months of "plugability." You can just simply take the paci away (unlike fingers), give a few more bedtime cuddles and be done with it when you think the babe is ready...pacifiers are a beautiful thing. Elijah attached to his like a champ right away. Simeon on the other hand has something else in mind. His thumb! I have pushed that paci on him between feedings since the day he was born and yet he insists on working that thumb right up into his mouth. Simeon loves his thumb and although its not my first choice...it certainly is cute! Don't you think!

It's such a blast seeing how different the two boys are! They obviously look so different from each other...but its fun to see other changes happening too! I never thought I could ever love a baby as much as I love my Eli...but I was wrong. I love this little guy so much. God totally multiplied my heart and love the day Simeon was born.

Lije totally cracked me up today! He is so hilarious and brings so much joy & laughter to my life! Here's some quotes from the day!

Right after he and I prayed before supper "And...Dear God. Want to watch Letter Factory with me? Okay."
Totally on his own with no prompting "Thank you mommy for making me dinner."
While helping me stir Emergen-C for Matt "I make this special drink for Daddy to make him feel better so he no be sick anymore." (Awww!)
About an inch from Sim's face in a loud voice "Simeon, you know where my Thomas train is at?"
"Mommy, I go get my goo-griver (screwdriver) and fix your head. But not yet, you be fireman right now." Because I told him I needed water for my headache.

His conversation is so special to me and I just love this stage that he is at! Despite the testing and whining and figuring out discipline...he is the best! I love all the imaginary play. I love how loving he is to Simeon. I love how quickly he learns! I love everything about him! The last 28 months of my life have been so amazing. I love you so much, Elijah! You have and continue to make Daddy and I so happy just by being yourself!
